Listservs - to sign up for the following discussions one must be a working
professional photographer. Students are usually welcome but are often restricted
to readÊonly status.

Photo News Network
is a fabulous photography resource whose heart and soul
are the listservs run by Gary Gladstone and Jack Reznicki. If you want to listen
and interact with working pro's from around the world this is the place to be.
By studying their archives and lurking on the various listservs you can get a
a business education. A must for any one serious about a career in professional
photography.

Editorial Photographers
This list as its name suggests is specifically geared to
professional publication photographers. Discussions about contracts, copyright,
and industry trends and problem clients are the primary focus of this listserv.
The website is full of essential tools for professonial photographers working in
this field. Another must for those serious about their business.

APANet
is a relatively new listserv whose focus is advertising photography.

Software

Fotobiz/FotoQuote is an excellent piece of software particularly for those just beginning
their businesses or who have small uncomplicated enterprises. At the heart of this
software is Fotoquote. This part of the software we have found most valuable.
It provides you with a great starting point for pricing stock and assignments. http://www.cradoc.com/

Hindsight Software with modules make this one of the most fully integrated
photography business software programs on the market today.
